![]() ![]() The major benefit beside the cost reduction is that I'm a type of a person that love to own his tools, the reason behind selecting Sketchup over Revit for me is the same reason, if we consider 2.3 as the 2019 version and 2.8 is the 2020 version, the major update that I will pay for in one year would be adding the orthographic views plus the animated vegetation (RTX is Amazing) but i don't have RTX card yet (I have titan X), the conclusion is adding the classic license as an option would attract many customers that share the same preferences like me (I can't imagine that I will pay every month for years and say it will be 20 years or more and at the end if I stopped paying I cannot use the software) and I Believe that this is not fair in the long run. I would say the differences/improvements between SketchUp 2019 compared to 2020 are not as large as say Enscape 2.3 compared to Enscape 2.7 which is also around less than a year apart in terms of release. What would be the benefits for you besides the cost reduction? We have a subscription based system for a reason of course, since we're very frequently adding new content like Assets, features and everything alongside.
